The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has summoned judges of both the State and Federal High Court involved in the multiple conflicting decisions over the raging the political crisis in Rivers State between former Governor Nyesom Wike and his political son and successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Also summoned is the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho who is expected appear before a panel of the National Judicial Council.
A panel of the NJC has been set up to probe the affected judges and submit it’s report to the CJN this week.
Daily Sun learnt that the panel which is headed by a former Court of Appeal justice, includes two heads of courts.
This decision by the CJN followed formal complaints filed before the NJC against the judicial officers.
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun on Monday held a meeting with the panel in her office and gave a marching order that the probe report should be in, this week.
There has been public outcry over rulings and decisions by some judges involved in the multiple cases arising from the unending political crisis between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his estranged godfather, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesome Wike.
