The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has announced the appointment of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Meshach Jatau as the new Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of the Corps.
The appointment, disclosed in a statement by Corps Public Education and Strategic Communications Officer Mr. Olusegun Ogungbemide on Friday in Abuja, is part of the Corps Marshal’s strategic initiative to enhance the Corps’ performance.
Corps Marshal Mohammed has charged Jatau to leverage his extensive experience to inspire a renewed sense of optimism within the FRSC.

Prior to this appointment, Jatau served as the Zonal Commanding Officer, RS4HQ Jos. He succeeds Deputy Corps Marshal Chidiebere Nkwonta, who has been promoted and reassigned to lead the Training Department of the Corps.
Jatau, a fellow of the Army War College Nigeria (FWC) and an alumnus of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), holds a Master’s Degree in Literature in English from the University of Jos. He has completed numerous training programs, including speech writing, International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL), Automobile, and Environmental Safety Policy.
Throughout his career, Jatau has held several commanding positions across various states, demonstrating his broad expertise and commitment to the FRSC.
