Archbishop Emmanuel Musa Jatau, Ph.D., has emphasized that Nigeria has the potential to achieve much more, but divisions along ethnic and religious lines, coupled with a lack of sincerity, are holding the country back.
Speaking during an interaction with members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Nasarawa Chapter on Monday at Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly in Abuja, Archbishop Jatau highlighted the shortcomings in Nigeria’s education system, contrasting it with Cameroon’s. “What is taught in Nigerian secondary schools is what Cameroonian primary schools cover,” he observed, calling for a complete overhaul of the educational system.

He urged sports journalists to use their platforms to promote grassroots sports and foster national unity, noting that “sports has become the unifying factor in the world today.”
Archbishop Jatau, who is also the Director of Pan-African Universities, West Africa Region, expressed his gratitude for the honor bestowed on him by SWAN, encouraging the new leadership to live up to the expectations of their peers.
A native of Agyaragu in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Archbishop Jatau is recognized for his academic achievements and humanitarian efforts. He holds multiple degrees, including two PhDs in Conflict Management and History and International Studies. He is the founder of Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly, which operates 15 branches across Nigeria.
Looking ahead to the upcoming SWAN Week beginning on August 26th, 2024, Archbishop Jatau pledged to attend the events, expressing his pleasure at being named the Grand Patron of Table Tennis in Nasarawa State. He presented gifts to the SWAN members as a token of appreciation, reaffirming his commitment to humanitarian work, which he describes as a divine calling.
Archbishop Jatau also leads several initiatives through Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly, including entrepreneurial skills training, free medical services, water supply, and a soup kitchen that feeds the needy three times a week.
Earlier, Comrade Smah George Josiah, Chairman of SWAN Nasarawa State Chapter, thanked Archbishop Jatau for his warm reception and commended his philanthropic contributions. He emphasized that the visit was important in strengthening ties with the Archbishop, whose life of service is an example to emulate.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of gifts to SWAN members, marking the beginning of a promising relationship between the association and Archbishop Jatau.
