The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the academic calendar for Federal Government Colleges (FGCs), commonly known as Unity Schools. These 110 schools, located across the country, aim to provide quality education and foster peace and unity.
According to a memo from Hajia Binta Abdulkadir, Director of Senior Secondary Education, the new academic session will commence on 8th September 2024 and run for 14 weeks, concluding on 15th December 2024. A one-week mid-term break is scheduled for 27th October 2024, while the holiday period will last from 15th December 2024 to 9th January 2025.
The memo noted that the dates are subject to change, urging parents and guardians to stay informed.
