Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles, has continued its winning streak in the African Nations Cup (AFCON) taking place in Cote d’Iviore.
The team defeated Guinea Bissau 1-0 in the last group match to qualify for the Round of 16, placing second.
Also Equatorial Guinea qualified for the next round with Nigeria, having defeated host Cote d’Ivoire 4-0, to top the group.
Nigeria had played a 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea in the opening match and deteated the Elephant of Cote d’Ivoire in the second game.
Equatorial Guinea, on its part, defeated Guinea-Bissau, and played a draw with Nigeria in its first two matches.
