“By the his demise, our Anambra South Senatorial District, Anambra State and Nigeria have lost an illustrious son, who has done much in nation-building.
“In his eventful life, he made a mark as a businessman, playing at top level in the oil and gas sector; a politician, representing Anambra South at the Senate and philanthropist, touching the lives of the less privileged and down trodden.
“Even though we were at political divide, being in different political parties, we shared the same dream of using our resources and political office to ensure that the voices of our people are heard and that their needs are catered to.
“I sincerely condole with his wife, children, siblings, relatives and our people in Anambra South Senatorial District and Anambra State Government and Nigeria for the passage of this titan who will be sorely missed.
