Hajiya Fatima Bago, the wife of the Niger Governor, organized a three-day special Fidda’u prayer for the late Hajiya Zainab Garba, the wife of the state’s Deputy Governor. The prayer session took place at the Justice Legbo Kutigi Conference Centre in Minna on Friday.
Hajiya Zainab Garba passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness, leaving behind her husband and two children. Bago expressed deep sadness over the loss, noting that Zainab’s death has brought a moment of grief to the state.
“Her death came as a shock, and we are saddened by it. We cannot question Allah, as He is the giver of life and takes it when He pleases. We are gathered here to pray for her soul and for Allah to make her grave easy,” Bago stated.
She urged the people of the state to continue praying for the soul of the deceased, emphasizing that her death serves as a reminder of the inevitability of death.
During the session, various renowned Islamic clerics, including Malama Kadijat Zukogi, offered prayers.
