In the early hours of Monday, July 22, 2024, bandits stormed Idon town in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, kidnapping an undetermined number of residents.
Idon, like many communities in the area, has faced repeated invasions by bandits over the past few years, despite the public knowledge of the bandits’ hideouts.
As of now, both the Kaduna State Police Command and the State’s Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs have yet to release an official statement on the incident.
However, a credible source from the area reported that five people are currently confirmed missing following the attack.
