Osun State Government on Wednesday disclosed that it had completed 267 micro projects including support for the Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), within two years of the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The General Manager of the Osun Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Mrs. Funmi Abokede, stated this at a 2-day Media Engagement on programme for Result initiative held at Ben-Ber Foundation Hall in Osogbo.
She noted that the administration of Adeleke has been committed to the micro projects, particularly the support to the PWDs that he has released about N2 billion for the projects since the inception of his administration.
Abokede who lamented that some communities in the rural areas have been cut off from social amenities including maternity centres, commended Adeleke for the support to the agency.

She recalled how a community in Ife called Bakasi has suffered social amenities before the intervention of the agency, saying some PWDs are now getting adequate support from the government through the agency.
“The agency has completed 267 micro projects since the assumption of office of Governor Ademola Adeleke. The state government is funding the PWDs and this has made their lives better.
“The mission and vision of the agency is to care for the poor, and those in need in many communities across the state through the provision of basic amenities such as water, health facilities, and ensure presence of government gets to the grassroots,” Abokede added.
