Prominent entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, made his appearance at the Federal High Court in Lagos this Wednesday morning. He stands accused of three charges related to the alleged misuse of Naira notes, as brought forth by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and presented before Justice Kehinde Ogundare.
The allegations stem from an incident on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel in Lagos, where Cubana Chief Priest purportedly sprayed Naira notes during a social event. Specifically, it is claimed that he spent a span of two hours spraying N500 denomination notes, a behavior deemed to have infringed upon the integrity of the currency.
Further details on the matter will be provided as they become available.
