The Kano State Government has leveled new criminal charges against former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and former Commissioner for Justice, Musa Lawan. The charges include allegations of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation, and abuse of office, in violation of the Penal Code and the Laws of Kano State.
According to the charge sheet (No. K/143c/24), the state government accuses Ganduje and Lawan of contravening Sections 308, 309, 97, and 315 of the penal code. The government plans to call four witnesses to testify in court. However, an arraignment date has yet to be scheduled.
This development adds another chapter to the ongoing legal confrontations between Ganduje and the New Nigerian People’s Party-led state government. Since leaving office, the former governor has been entangled in multiple legal battles with the current administration.
Further details on the specifics of the charges and the timeline for the court proceedings are awaited. The situation remains dynamic, and updates will follow as more information becomes available.
