The meeting paused to welcome the leadership of the National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, to witness the signing ceremony.
Folashade Yemi-Esan, Head of Service of the Federation, stated that this measure would help alleviate tension in the country and among workers.
Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, promised swift implementation of the new law.
