Controversial online activist Vincent Otse, popularly known as “Very Dark Man” (VDM), appeared at the Ikeja High Court on Thursday for a defamation case filed against him. VDM arrived dressed in traditional Edo attire, greeted by cheering supporters.
The defamation suit was brought by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Falana, and his son, popular musician and activist Folarin Falana, known as Falz. On October 14, the court ordered VDM to take down a video allegedly defaming Falana and Falz, which he posted on September 24.
Additionally, the court mandated that the originating summons be served to VDM through his lawyer, Mr. Deji Adeyanju, within 14 days. As of the time of reporting, the court had not yet begun hearing the case.
