Kano State Hisbah Board has confirmed the arrest and detention of a Commissioner and member of the Jigawa State Executive Council.
The accused top ranking official of the Jigawa State Government(Name withheld) was arrested in an uncompleted building with a married woman.
The Director General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Abba Sufi arrest on Friday in the state capital.
He said that arrest was sequel to the reciept of series of complaints against the said commissioner by the woman’s husband.
“We arrested him with a married woman in an uncompleted building that belonging to him unknown to him that we were tracking him based on the reports against him we received”.he stated
it was gathered that the woman’s husband, Nasiru Bulama, had lodged complaints t with the Kano State Police Command, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Hisbah Board, alleging his involvement in illicit sexual activities with his wife,” .
The Director General assured that the accused wwould be charged to court on the alleged offence and aldo for operating unlawful Centers and hotels in the state.
