Following a fire outbreak reported at Dangote Refinery on Wednesday afternoon, the management of Dangote Industries Limited has officially reacted to the development.
In a swift response, the company’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Mr. Anthony Chiejina, stated that the firm has swiftly contained the minor fire incident at its effluent treatment plant (ETP).
“There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating, and there is no recorded injury or harm to any of our staff on duty,” Chiejina said in a statement.
The Dangote refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, produces fertilizer, diesel, and Jet A1. According to DIL, petrol production is scheduled to commence next month.
