The Emeritus Archbishop of Benin, Most Rev. Patrick Ekpu, passed away at the age of 92 on Tuesday evening. According to a statement released by the Benin Archdiocesan Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Michael Oyanoafoh, the revered prelate died on August 6, 2024, at exactly 7:09 p.m. after a brief illness.
The current Archbishop of Benin, Most Rev. Augustine Obiora Akubeze, has requested prayers for the peaceful repose of his predecessor’s soul.
