The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, October 1, a public holiday to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day anniversary.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement released by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, on Saturday in Abuja.
In his message, Tunji-Ojo extended congratulations to Nigerians both at home and abroad, recognizing their dedication and hard work. He praised the resilience of the Nigerian people, assuring them that their sacrifices would not go unrecognized.
The minister emphasized the importance of reflecting on the contributions of the nation’s founding heroes and using their legacy as inspiration for the tasks ahead.
