Former Big Brother Naija star Francisca Owumi has died after a brief illness. She passed away on August 29, 2024.
Francisca, who was the runner-up of the inaugural BBNaija season in 2006, was known for her vibrant personality and fierce dancing moves. Her death was announced by her family on social media, who wrote, “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
During her time on the show, Francisca was a prominent figure alongside winner Katung Aduwak, Gideon Okeke, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Maureen Osuji, and others. Following the show, she briefly ventured into the Nigerian music scene, releasing singles such as “Diva” and “Gbadun You.”
