The newly appointed Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Katsina, CC Aliyu Maaji, has issued a stern warning to staff, cautioning them against extorting motorists. During his assumption of office on Tuesday, Maaji emphasized that bribery would not be tolerated, and any personnel found guilty of such practices would be dismissed.
Maaji urged staff to align with the Corp Marshal’s policy and work hard to enhance the public image of the corps. He also announced plans to introduce a monthly stakeholders’ forum aimed at fostering greater awareness and collaboration in road safety efforts across the state.
Expressing gratitude to the Katsina State government and the press for their support, the sector commander pledged to collaborate with his team to ensure road safety and promote safe driving practices. He called on all staff to renew their commitment to duty.
Maaji also appealed to road users and stakeholders to continue supporting the commission in its efforts to reduce road accidents and improve traffic management in the state.
