The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has expressed its approval of the preparations undertaken by the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC) for the upcoming local government elections on Saturday.
In response to a statement from a chairmanship aspirant that questioned BASIEC’s ability to conduct a free, fair, and credible election, IPAC State Chairman Mr. Auwal Isa affirmed confidence in the Commission’s efforts.
“After carefully reviewing the allegations, IPAC finds that BASIEC has made the necessary arrangements to ensure a credible election,” Isa stated. He emphasized IPAC’s role as a key stakeholder and advocate for democratic electoral processes, highlighting their collaborative efforts with BASIEC to ensure a successful election.
Isa encouraged voters to participate actively in the elections, urging them to cast their votes for their preferred parties. He also reminded the public that freedom of expression should not be misused to incite unrest or mislead others, and that grievances should not undermine the electoral process.
