The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who participated in the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted between Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22, 2024.
In a statement on Friday, JAMB spokesman Dr. Fabian Benjamin explained that the supplementary examination was conducted for 28,835 candidates who were unable to be biometrically verified during the main 2024 UTME and, therefore, could not take their examination. Additionally, the supplementary UTME included candidates suspected of examination malpractices during the main UTME but who were given a second chance to sit for the exam.
Dr. Benjamin reported that the exercise was a huge success nationwide due to heightened security measures implemented by JAMB to prevent examination infractions. He confirmed that several individuals attempting to impersonate legitimate candidates were apprehended and handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and prosecution.
He assured candidates that the Board would continue to ensure that no one benefits from any acts of misconduct through the use of state-of-the-art technology before, during, and after its examinations. Dr. Benjamin also appealed to candidates to refrain from engaging in any irregularities during examinations and to avoid soliciting score upgrades from fraudsters or altering their result sheets to generate fake results with higher scores.
Candidates can check their supplementary UTME results by sending UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they used to generate their profile codes at the start of registration.
