The Nigerian Army announced that its troops, engaged in counter-insurgency operations in Kaduna State, have killed two terrorists and recovered arms, ammunition, and other items. The troops encountered the terrorists while conducting clearance operations in Gama Gira Village, Igabi Local Government Area, and subdued the terrorist elements, resulting in the elimination of two armed members of the group.
During the operation, the troops recovered one AK-47 rifle, a magazine loaded with seven rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition, a Tecno mobile phone, a phone charger, and a cash sum of One Hundred and Two Thousand, Ten Naira only.
In a separate operation, troops recovered a PKT gun from fleeing terrorists in the Jangeme Ruwan Kunku general area after a sustained operation led to the dislodgement of the terrorists. The gallant troops continue to maintain aggressive operations to clear the remnants of the insurgents in the area.
