The Kaduna State Police Command has successfully recovered a vehicle stolen in Abuja.
ASP Mansir Hassan, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, announced this in a statement issued on Monday in Kaduna.
Hassan reported, “On July 6, at approximately 0200 hours, the police received a tip-off about a carjacking incident. A 2013 Honda Accord was forcibly taken from its owner at his residence in Abuja by unknown armed men.”
Acting swiftly on the information, police operatives from the Katari Division mobilized and intercepted the stolen vehicle at around 0347 hours on Saturday. The interception took place at Gidan Dan Busa village along the Kaduna-Abuja express road.
“Upon seeing the approaching police officers, the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled in another car,” Hassan stated.
The recovered vehicle has been secured and taken to the station for safekeeping.
Commissioner of Police All Dabigi commended the officers for their prompt action and urged them to continue improving their response to incidents. He also encouraged the public to keep providing valuable information to aid the police in combating crime.
