Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris,together with Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and the Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, have expressed their condolences to former EFCC boss, AbdulRashid Bawa and the State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Hayatu Bawa on the passing away of their mother, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmad Bawa.
The late Hajiya Hadiza Ahmad Bawa, aged 68, died on September 25, 2024, at the Usmanu Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, of a prolonged illness.
Idris and his Guests visited Jega, at the weekend ,accompanied by top government officials, local government chairmen, and political figures, to offer special prayers for the deceased.
They prayed the AlMighty Allah to grant her mercy and admit her into Aljannar Firdaus, and the family to find the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Islamic Affairs, Engr. Imrana Ibn Usman, led prayers for Allah’s Forgiveness upon her gentle soul.
Late Hajiya Hadiza Ahmad Bawa is survived by ten children, including former EFCC chairman AbdulRashid Bawa and the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Hayatudeen Bawa.
Similarly, Governor Nasir in company of Sen. Atiku Bagudu paid condolence visit to Gwandu to commiserate with the family and people of Gwandu on the demise of Alhaji Aliyu Mustapha Gwandu, a retired Permanent Secretary of Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
Late Alhaji Aliyu, who held the traditional title of “Sarkin ‘Yan Sarkin Gwandu,” passed away on September 13, 2024, of a brief illness.
