The Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has extended his condolences to his Borno State counterpart, Professor Babagana Zulum, and the people of Borno following the devastating flood that caused severe damage across the state.
In a statement signed by Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Zuru, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Idris urged the people of Borno to accept the disaster as an act of God.
Describing the flood as unprecedented in recent history, Idris expressed deep sympathy for Governor Zulum and the people of Borno. He noted the extensive damage caused, affecting key institutions such as the Government House, teaching hospital, Shehu of Borno’s Palace, state secretariat, schools, and business centers.

Governor Idris, reflecting on Kebbi’s own experiences with similar disasters, said, “We share your grief, and we are deeply pained by the natural disaster.” He prayed for Allah to restore the victims’ lost properties and grant eternal peace to those who lost their lives.
He also recommended the formation of a high-powered committee of experts from flood-prone states to collaborate with federal agencies in finding lasting solutions to the recurring floods.
