Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry and Convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, recently delivered a message of encouragement to young people, urging them to remain vigilant and ward off distractions even in the face of adversity.
Addressing a global audience during the February edition of the Impact Academy, themed ‘Success with Integrity’, Kumuyi emphasized that despite the challenges young people may encounter, the plans of God for them cannot be thwarted by the schemes of the adversary.
Speaking virtually from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where the six-day spiritual exercise was underway, Kumuyi stressed the importance of resilience and determination in the pursuit of success. He urged the youth to reject detractors and maintain a steadfast resolve to achieve their goals.
Drawing inspiration from biblical teachings, Kumuyi highlighted the story of the woman with the issue of blood who demonstrated courage and took proactive steps to change her circumstances. Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, reiterated his administration’s commitment to youth development, emphasizing the importance of providing avenues for self-sustainability through skills training and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Additionally, Prof Chinedu Mmom, the Education Commissioner, encouraged youth to persevere in the face of failure, citing the example of Abraham Lincoln who overcame numerous setbacks before becoming President of the United States. He emphasized the value of diligence and resilience in achieving success.
