The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Labour Party has officially released the names of the proposed electoral reform committees as part of its agenda in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, the party announced the leadership’s approval of the following individuals to serve as members of the Labour Party Electoral Reform Committee:
During a recent world press conference, the party emphasized its commitment to engaging in an electoral reform process to ensure democracy in Nigeria and prepare its members against irregularities in future elections. The committee members are tasked with conducting a comprehensive review of the electoral process to guarantee free and fair elections. They have three months to submit their report to the party.
Members of the committee include:
- Hon. Dr. Sam Amadi – Committee Chairman
- Comrade Ayo Olorunfemi – Alternate Chairman
- Mrs. Dudu Manuga – Committee Secretary
- Comrade Adekunle Rotimi – Alternate Secretary
- Barrister Calistus Ihediagwa – Alternate Secretary

- Alex Ejeseme – SAN
- Hannah Amina Yahaya
- Hon. Chijioke Edeoga
- Sen. Tony Nwoye
- Mike Igini
- Hon. Benedict Etanabene

The committee will be officially inaugurated on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11 am at the National Headquarters in Utako.
