In response to a devastating windstorm that left many homeless in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed food items to the affected communities.
The intervention followed a request from Hon. Mark B. Useni, the Member representing Takum/Donga/Ussa Federal Constituency, to NEMA’s Director-General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar.
The storm-affected areas include Dutse, Gahwetun, Tikari, Rogo, and Manya wards in Takum Local Government.
Hon. Useni highlighted that he had previously provided roofing materials to the victims and expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for responding to his request. He also urged the people to support the Tinubu administration’s economic policies aimed at fostering national development and stability.
The food aid provided by NEMA included 439 bags each of rice and maize, along with tomato paste, cooking oil, and seasoning cubes.
