Dr. Mohammed Santuraki, the newly appointed Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna), has committed to maintaining the high standards set by past leaders over the institution’s 40-year history.
Speaking during the first meeting of the 10th governing council after its inauguration, Santuraki expressed his admiration for the exceptional credentials and experience of the council members.
“The meeting was incredibly useful, and I am deeply impressed by the exceptional credentials and experience each member brings to our well-deserved positions,” Santuraki said. “The quality of discussions was remarkable, and I am confident that together we have the capacity to elevate this great university to even greater heights during our tenure.”
Santuraki expressed his eagerness to collaborate with all council members, including those he had yet to officially meet. He also praised the current management under Vice-Chancellor Prof. Faruk Kuta and acknowledged the contributions of previous leaders, starting with the institution’s pioneer VC, Prof. J.O. Ndagi.
“Kudos to the current management under the leadership of VC Prof. Faruk Kuta and all those before them who have silently built such an incredible institution over the last 40 years, beginning with the legendary tenure of our pioneer VC, Prof. J.O. Ndagi,” Santuraki stated. “We stand on the shoulders of these giants and their legacies. We owe it to them and all University stakeholders to uphold and enhance the high standards they have set.”
Santuraki emphasized his privilege and honor in leading the council and his belief in the collective potential to achieve great things together.
