The Anti-pipeline Vandalization/Oil Theft Task Force (AVOTTG) in the Niger Delta region has praised the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Retail, led by Mr. Huub Stockman, for ensuring the consistent availability of petrol across the nation. The group, comprising ex-militant leaders and stakeholders from oil-producing communities, highlighted the significant improvements in fuel supply and the elimination of queues and product hoarding since Stockman assumed his role as Managing Director of NNPCL Retail.
The AVOTTG, known for its commitment to combating pipeline vandalization and oil theft, vowed to continue its efforts in safeguarding the Niger Delta region. The group commended Stockman’s leadership and dedication to the retail arm of NNPCL, acknowledging his previous experience as Managing Director of OVH Energy Company and recognizing him as a transformative figure in Nigeria’s oil sector, particularly in the downstream segment.
In a statement issued after an emergency meeting, AVOTTG’s National Coordinator, Comrade Pathfinder Fiawei (a.k.a General Osama), praised Stockman and his team for alleviating the suffering of Nigerians by ensuring a steady supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). The group noted that under Stockman’s leadership, the challenges of fuel queues, product diversion, and hoarding have been effectively addressed.

His efforts have been instrumental in curbing the shortage of petroleum products, especially PMS, across the country.
“As stakeholders in the oil sector and ex-militant leaders involved in the fight against pipeline vandalism, oil theft, and illegal bunkering in the Niger Delta, we affirm that Mr. Stockman’s emergence as Managing Director of NNPCL Retail is one of the best developments in the nation’s downstream oil sector. We will continue to support the Tinubu-led administration and NNPCL as they strive to bring positive changes to the sector.”
The group reiterated its commitment to working tirelessly to prevent all forms of vandalization and to support the ongoing efforts to reform the nation’s oil industry.
