A clergy, Pastor Daniel Agbolade, has said Nigeria needs prayer to survive the current economic hardship in the land.
He posited that Nigerians must pray for the leaders for them to succeed in the office.
The founder of the Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Mercy and Praise, Kajola-Owode Ede, Osun State, appealed yesterday at the maiden edition of interdenominational prayer organized by Kajola Community Landlords’ Association (KCLA), Kajola.
Agbolade who is the Chairman of the Kajola Community Landlords’ Association (KCLA) said: “Nigeria is our country let’s pray for her prosperity.
He, however, appealed to political leaders to ensure that they have the spirit of God in them saying, “When someone has the spirit of God in him, he will lead with the fear of God.
“And out of that fear of God implies that people under them will not suffer.”
He, however, charged landlords and residents of the Kajola community to spread love among themselves, stressing that where there is love development will come in.
The ‘Baale of Kajola’, Alhaji Yinusa Kabiru Alade, while speaking on the challenges confronted by his subject called on network service providers to come to their aid by providing solutions to epileptic network services to ensure that residents of his community have access to network services of their choice.
He lauded Governor Adeleke Adeleke’s developmental stride across the state since he assumed office just as he urged him to consider linking Owode-Ede road to Atakumosa West for Kajola’s continuous development.
In their separate sermons, Pastor Olukunle Opeyemi and Sheik Adewuyi Fatai urged members of the Kajola community to live in harmony and be their brother’s Keeper, encouraging them not to allow current economic hardship to disunite them.
Elder Olaniyan Davide Adeyemi, Chairman of the Sumbare Landlord Association, called on the Osun state government to provide more security for them to protect their lives and property.
He also commended KCLA leadership for ensuring that the spirit of love remained with them which made them organize the prayer for the prosperity and protection of its members possible, and urged other community leaders to emulate them.
Meanwhile, residents of the community also benefited from the free medical outreach organized by the leadership of the Kajola Community Landlords’ Association (KCLA).
