Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has clarified that his name was not mentioned in the initial petition his twin brother, Peter, filed but was later included in a supporting statement.
According to Paul, Peter (Mr. P) approached the EFCC after informing him that Jude, their former manager and director of the now-defunct P-Square, had made some money during the period when the group was inactive.
Paul shared that he advised Peter to either let it go and move forward or to pool together the money each of them earned during the separation and divide it using P-Square’s income-sharing formula outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
During an Instagram live session on Monday, August 19, Paul stated, “If you open the petition Peter wrote, my name is not there. I was mentioned in the statement he wrote to back the petition.”
He further explained, “Peter told me that Jude made some money while we were separated, and I acknowledged it, just as we both did. I suggested we move on since we’re back together, but he insisted that as the artists, the MOU doesn’t count.”
Paul continued, “I proposed that if Jude made some money, he should bring it, and we should do the same, so we could share it according to the MOU. However, Peter wasn’t interested, and now we’re dealing with the EFCC.”
