Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate for the 2023 General Elections, outlined key strategies on Monday to address the exodus of multinational companies from Nigeria. The former governor of Anambra State emphasized the need for a business-friendly environment that stimulates investment, innovation, and economic growth.
Highlighting the economic impact, Obi noted that Nigeria has incurred losses amounting to N95 trillion over the past five years due to this exodus. He proposed several measures to tackle the issue, including enhancing security measures, ensuring policy stability, and reducing energy costs.
“In order to build an inclusive economy,” Obi stated, “we must foster transparency, accountability, and good governance. By uniting to create a conducive business environment, we can transform Nigeria into an attractive hub for investment, fostering hope and progress across Africa and globally.”
Together, Obi believes, Nigeria has the potential to emerge as a beacon of economic opportunity and advancement on the world stage.
