The House of Representatives adjourned plenary on Wednesday to honour the late Olaide Akinremi, who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State. Akinremi, 51, served as the chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions until his passing, as announced by House spokesman Akin Rotimi Jnr.
Speaker Tajudeen Abbas opened Wednesday’s session with the somber news of Akinremi’s demise. Following a minute of silence in his memory, the House decided to adjourn proceedings until Thursday.
