Local authorities have reported that three individuals sustained injuries during Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions on Tuesday.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod Region, confirmed that the town of Shebekino faced bombardment from Ukrainian armed forces, resulting in two injuries. The attacks caused damage to six private residences, commercial structures including shops, a hospital, and educational facilities.
In the Kursk region, Roman Starovoyt, the governor, stated that 11 Ukrainian drones were destroyed overnight. Despite ongoing shelling in the area, only one resident was reported injured.
Highlighting the escalation in drone attacks, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted on Monday that Ukrainian forces had intensified their assaults on Russian territories. Peskov added that Russian air defense systems were actively engaged in intercepting these drones.
The Russian defense ministry disclosed that on Tuesday alone, the country’s armed forces repelled 25 drones launched in Ukrainian attacks across Russian territory. This included the termination of two drones in the Moscow Region. Additionally, the ministry reported that Russian armed forces, along with the Federal Security Service, successfully thwarted a Ukrainian attempt to breach Russian borders through the Belgorod and Kursk regions on Tuesday morning.
