Valentine’s Day witnessed a heartwarming gesture from Olusola Adewusi, the wife of Osun State’s Deputy Governor, as she distributed wheelchairs and various aids to persons with disabilities (PWDs) across the state. The initiative, aimed at spreading love and inclusivity, saw students from ten special needs schools being honored. Alongside the distribution of equipment, attendees received sewing machines and generators to enhance their livelihoods.
Dubbed “History Makers,” the event not only focused on providing essential aids but also recognized the invaluable contributions of retired teachers to the state’s development. Adewusi, in her address, encouraged individuals with disabilities to pursue their aspirations fearlessly, emphasizing that their condition should not deter them from achieving greatness.
“Your disability should never hinder your dreams. Believe in the power of determination, and remember that nothing is beyond your reach,” remarked Adewusi, inspiring hope and resilience among the attendees.
Echoing similar sentiments, Ngozi Adeleke, the Governor’s wife, underscored the importance of philanthropic gestures towards PWDs, urging others in the community to follow suit. Such acts of kindness, she stressed, play a vital role in fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society.
