When Nicole Cirino, associate professor of psychiatry, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Center for Women’s Health said that “all women deserve to enjoy a healthy sexual life,” she was underlining the importance of sex in women’s lives.
However, a woman without sex life have somethings to lose:
1. Mood changes: Lack of sex in women can lead to irritability, undue anger and anxiety as oxytocin and endorphins released during sex and regulate mood are not.
2. Vaginal atrophy: Lack of sex in women causes decreased estrogen levels, which leads to vaginal dryness.
3. Pelvic floor weakness: Lack of sex can lead to weakness of pelvic floor muscle tone.
4. Decreased libido: Lack of sex reduces a woman’s libido as there could be hormonal changes.
5. Sleep disturbances: Lack of sex can cause sleep disruption in women as sex helps regulate sleep patterns.

6. Increased risk of infections: Infrequent sex can increase the risk of urinary tract infections.
7. Hormonal imbalance: Lack of sex can disrupt hormonal balance, leading to issues like thyroid problems.
