The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has arrested a woman for the alleged murder of her husband in the Pegi Area of Abuja. According to a statement released on Wednesday by SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, the suspect was apprehended on Tuesday around 6:00 p.m. by officers from the Pegi Police Division following credible intelligence.
The suspect was arrested while attempting to flee with the belongings of her paralyzed husband, who had reportedly been missing for about three days. She was intercepted by police operatives in a mini-truck. During interrogation, the woman confessed to killing her husband after a fight between them. She then led the police to an uncompleted building where she had dumped the burned body.
