The Zamfara State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has elected new executive officers to lead the association for the next two years. This announcement was made in a statement by the outgoing Chairman, Dr. Sanusi Bello, on Sunday in Gusau.
According to Dr. Bello, the new leadership was elected during the association’s successful 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election, held on Saturday, August 10.
The newly elected officers include Dr. Ibrahim Jibril-Hano as Chairman, Dr. Mohammed Murtala-Salahu as Vice Chairman, and Dr. Hussaini Haruna as Secretary. Other officers include Dr. Patrick Okoli as Assistant Secretary, Dr. Aminu Alhazzai as Treasurer, Dr. Ogunbuyide Oluwadare as Public Relations Officer, and Dr. Abdul-Azeez Samaila as Welfare Secretary. Dr. Sanusi Bello will serve as Ex Officio.
In his statement, Dr. Bello congratulated the new executive officers and urged them to prioritize transparency and accountability in their roles.
