Amidst the persistent challenges of insecurity, Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, emerges as a beacon of progress, hailed as Nigeria’s top-performing governor. Despite grappling with security issues, Lawal’s administration has achieved significant strides in Education, Agriculture, Health, and infrastructure development.
During a media influencers’ workshop in Kaduna, organized by Zamfara State’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Comrade Mannir Mu’azu Haidera, it was revealed that Governor Lawal’s tenure has witnessed remarkable improvements across various sectors. Haidera, alongside 70 information managers and media influencers, highlighted Lawal’s commitment to training and empowering personnel for the state’s advancement.
The governor’s vision, encapsulated in the 2024 budget titled “Rescue Mission,” prioritizes security, Agriculture, Education, Health, Economy, and Infrastructure. Through initiatives like the Central Delivery Coordinating Committee (CDC), the government aims to enhance service delivery and uplift the well-being of Zamfara’s populace.
Addressing the pressing issue of insecurity, Haidera reiterated the government’s dedication to restoring peace in the state. He emphasized the pivotal role of information managers in fostering societal equity and combating misinformation.
Echoing these sentiments, Honorable Dahiru Hassan Kera, Managing Director of Kera Web Media Limited, emphasized the detrimental impact of misinformation and fake news, particularly in exacerbating security challenges. The workshop serves as a vital platform to equip participants with the tools to navigate the evolving media landscape responsibly.
Additionally, Alhaji Shaibu Yusuf Mungadi, Co-founder of Optimal Image Media Ltd, commended Governor Lawal for addressing the information deficit in tackling insecurity. Mungadi affirmed the workshop’s role in nurturing capable media influencers to shape positive narratives and highlight Zamfara’s progress in various sectors.
